Accounting and Finance (A25800UA)

Transfer Articulation to the University of North Carolina Asheville

Fully Online Option Available

This program is an articulated program with the University of North Carolina Asheville. Students who plan to attend the accounting program at the University of North Carolina Asheville should be enrolled in the Accounting Associate in Applied Science Degree program at Blue Ridge Community College. Students must complete each course within the Accounting Degree with a grade of “C” or better for the course to transfer.

Students may be required to take developmental courses in Math and/or English as a result of high school GPA or pre-enrollment placements tests. Therefore, the student may need more than the minimum number of semester hours listed for graduation. Consult a program advisor for more information.

Upon completion of this program, students will:

  • Prepare financial reports and forms using appropriate accounting software (e.g. financial, managerial, payroll, tax, spreadsheet, accounting software).

  • Analyze business and financial scenarios.

  • Develop personal and professional skills to be productive members of the accounting profession.
